Don’t miss our elevated tasting menu with a Fourth and Church twist! We will have a special wine pairing option alongside some interesting specials and our extensive wine list. Champagne and great cocktails are a given, come and join the party! 

We will be open for lunch with last bookings at 3pm for our a la carte menu. The evening is a ticketed event with bookings between 17.00-22.00. There is a shorter menu available for bookings before 6.30, perfect for those off out on the town. We are offering the full seven courses extravaganza all evening.

For parties of 8 or more we have the Private Dining Room available, the perfect venue for a fantastic New Years Eve gathering. We are offering a free magnum of Champagne on the evening for the lucky party who books this space!

Growers Champagne Tasting

Kicking off between 7.30 & 8pm Thursday 12th December

We have just received delivery of some incredible Grower Champagnes which have absolutely blown our minds and we wanted to share them with some fellow bubble lovers as soon as we could!

Grower Champagnes are terroir-focused wines, sourced from local vineyards often from single plots and made with grapes which vary with each vintage.

In our cozy Private Dining Room, you will taste through four glasses of sublime champagne from family owned Domaines which have been making their own champagne for generations..

Anna (bubble obsessive) will talk you through each of these gastronomique wines with each being served with a snack. Menus will be available should you want to order something more substantial.

This year's International Sherry Week 2024 runs from the 4th to the 10th of November.

In addition to a huge list of Sherry and wines from the Marco de Jerez available by the glass throughout the week, Paul will host a really cool BarStool Session on Thursday, November 7th.

Running from 7.30 pm -9.30pm, seated around our bar and high tables, expect a selection of unique and hard-to-find pours with serious Sherry chat and information relating to the wines, bodegas and production area. 

Of course, there will be some tasty plates to enjoy alongside the wine selection and plenty of time, post-event to double back and order some more food and a glass or two of your favourite wine

Sunday Session: Italy- Mountains, Islands and Volcanoes

Come and immerse yourself in the unique wines and foods of Italy for what will certainly be a spectacular Sunday Session. We will be joined by our good friend and Italian importer, Matteo Malquori, who will share his unbridled passion for this most diverse of wine producing countries.

Although we all love such classic wines such as barolo, chianti and soave here at Fourth and Church, we also love exploring the 500 odd grape varietals that Italy has to offer, the majority of which are completely unique to the country and unknown outside of their native regions.

To celebrate the unparalleled diversity of Italian wines and its rich (and incredibly long) winemaking history, we wanted to showcase some lesser known gems from Italy's mountains, islands and volcanoes, delving a little deeper into the differing climates, soils and winemaking traditions that make these wines so very delicious.

To pair with each of the six wines will be an equally exquisite dish, where we will add our Fourth and Church sparkle to one of the most food obsessed countries in the world.

Really, is there any better way that you could spend a Sunday afternoon? We don’t think so.

Barstool Sessions: Mersel Lebanese Wines

We will be kicking off October in the best possible way by taking you on a taste journey to Lebanon. Introducing you to proud Lebanese producer Eddie Mersel, one of Laura’s (and the teams’) favourites!

With an ancient history in wine making dating all the way back to the Phoenicians who used to take their terracotta jars of wine across the water into Greece (and later Rome) for trading, this vineyard and its winemaker, wine-obsessed Eddie, vows to keep traditions alive. With some of the highest and oldest sites in wine production in the World, he works as naturally as possible using organic farming methods and very little intervention allowing the terroir to shine through.

Showcasing some phenomenal low intervention wines, Laura will guide you through an eclectic, fun and utterly delicious journey into this not so well-known region.

The Fourth and Church kitchen team will meticulously pair a dish with each of the four wines, you will feel like you are travelling to Lebanon whilst still seated around our bar!

Barstool Sessions: Cocchi Vermouth

To kick off the start of Negroni week Anton will be joined by the legendary Importer Alberto Ladu, where we will be diving into the world of Vermouth and aromatized wines.

Expect a relaxed atmosphere, delicious handcrafted vermouths, expert advice, food and some great company along with plenty of chat.

Created by the “King of Vermouth” Giuilo Cocchi. Giulio moved to Asti in the late 19th century and was fascinated with the traditions of blending local wines with aromatic herbs and spices. These traditions led to the birth of “Vermouth Di Torino” the classic sweet style of vermouth that has led to Piedmont becoming known globally as the “Kingdom of Vermouth”

This is an opportunity to explore the versatility of these aromatized wines by tasting different expressions, along with 3 of our signature cocktails created by Anton and the Fourth and Church team.

To complete the experience Adam and the Kitchen team have drawn on some key flavour profiles of the wines and prepared some signature snacks and small plates to offer the perfect accompaniment to this evening exploring the tastes and flavours of Piedmont and beyond.

Barstool Sessions: The Wines of Daniel Ramos - SOLD OUT

Four wines and small plates £60 pp

September's Barstool Sessions start with the wines of Sierra de Gredos legend Daniel Ramos.

James Hands of Iberian Importer Raymond Reynolds will host this not-to-be-missed session around our bar.

Sam and I visited Daniel in June and were blown away by the stunning landscape and his dry-farmed vineyards, high up in the beautiful mountains of the Sierra de Gredos, 180 km North West of Madrid.

Daniel's wines are all about the terroir, this really shows in the many different cuvees, each vintage he produces distinct blends, showcasing the range of terroirs and expressions available from his plots. We love his El Berrakin wines, which offer a fresh and lighter joven style always with a slight vintage variance, and his more serious cuvees of Abillo Real and Garnacha.

Expect four wild mountain wines, delicious snacks and small plates from the team and lots of chat from your hosts on the night.

Join us for a very special tasting evening exploring the versatility of Tidal Rum, tasting the spirits along with cocktails and food pairings. The evening will be hosted by Anton along with Tidal Rum’s global ambassador Lucy Clare Parpoli, who will be on hand to offer expert advice and answer any questions you may have.

Tidal rum is an innovative rum born in the Caribbean and finished in the wild Jersey Surf. Created in 2015: “Our story begins by the sea….early memories of coastal adventures, exploring the tidal edge and racing the waves to discover secret islands and sandbanks, only revealed at low tide. That sense of adventure and freedom that the sea awakens in all of us is something captured in the subtle coastal flavours of Tidal Rum. A coastal craft rum, infused with the subtle truffle flavour of Jersey’s Pepper Dulse, a rare sea botanical that can only be gathered at the furthest reaches of a full moon tide. It’s a journey that begins in the Caribbean and finishes in Jersey, a spirit kissed by the tide that calls to the adventure in us all.”

One of our favourite suppliers Ben Smith from Progression Wines will be joining us on Thursday 15th August to host a tasting featuring five wines from his portfolio alongside a delicious three course menu from our kitchen.

We are really excited to let Ben loose with some of his bottles, we have really enjoyed working alongside him over the last year or so and have tasted some thrilling wines from the new wave of dynamic producers he is championing.

This is a not to be missed tasting and dinner which promises a great line up of wines alongside a suitably paired menu based on some bouchon classics and lots of informal chat.

Progression are a Brighton based importer working with under the radar, organic, biodynamic and lower intervention wines made in tiny quantities. Their portfolio covers a wide range of styles going from the accessible, easy going all the way up to rare gems you can find on some of the world's great restaurant wine lists.

With July just around the corner, the 31 days of Riesling are upon us again, a month-long festival in conjunction with Wines of Germany to celebrate and showcase the wonderfully diverse styles of German Riesling.

Every July we take the opportunity to shout about Riesling, by offering daily changing wines By The Glass, special retail offerings, BarstoolSession tastings, and of course our legendary #Sundaysession lunchtime extravaganzas.

Join us on Sunday, July 28th for a spectacular six-course lunch with some very special paired Riesling wines.

Digging out some gems from the cellar, and some library wines from our suppliers this lunch will truly showcase the diversity and age-worthiness of German Riesling.

Join us for an exciting Barstool Session with our friends at Regal Rogue Vermouth.

This unique range of Vermouth is led by the marriage of 100% organic Australian wine and Aboriginal herbs and spices, sourced directly from Aboriginal farmers. Working with the celebrated winemaker, Justin Jarrett, they select grapes from his organic vineyard as the base wine for their Vermouth, creating a fresh, natural range of wine Aperitifs.

We will taste through their four Vermouths, before creating a range of aperitifs and cocktails for you to try, alongside some delicious snacks and small plates. The team will be on hand to tell you everything you need to know about this unique range and how to mix them up

WINEMAKER-LED TASTING IN PRIVATE DINING ROOM - CANTARIÑA WINERY, BIERZO, SPAIN

Join us for a very special Friday evening, in the company of the winemaker from the Cantariña Winery in Northern Spain. This will be a wonderful opportunity to taste four mountain wines paired carefully with a four-course dinner menu, showcasing the estate's single vineyard Godello and Mencias.

The dinner will take place in our Private Dining Room seated at two tables, with hosts from the winery and Fourth and Church, who will chat about the wines and the beautiful region of Bierzo.

Expect a cosy atmosphere, delicious wines, food and some great company.

Located in the town of Villafranca del Bierzo, the estate's vineyards lie in the heart of the region, bordering the route of the Camino de Santiago. The Ysart Alvarez de Toledo family carefully farm roughly 13 Ha of vineyards divided among three different sites.

Their winemaking philosophy is to make wines with a hands-off approach, vinifying small parcels from individual vineyards, using only wild fermentations, and as little manipulation in the winery as possible, including no fining or filtration.

The wines from Cantariña represent the exciting new wave of wine being produced in this wild mountain region of Northern Spain. Wonderful purity of fruit, freshness and precise acidity are a common thread that features throughout the wines and truly reflect the land that they come from.

We are so excited to welcome and celebrate springtime with a Sunday Session that represents the passionate producers who work their land and their vines, producing glorious ingredients that contribute to our menus, and their grapes that become wine, reflecting their terroir.

Springtime is a great time for cooks, with many uplifting, light and fresh flavours. Following this theme, we will select the wines for lunch using the same approach, expect a vibrant selection, produced with minimal intervention, by winemakers who work sympathetically with the land and who adopt a hands-off approach.

During lunch Anna, Anton and the team will talk through their selection, the winemakers and the areas they farm. Adam, Sam and the kitchen team will have sourced some delicious new season ingredients, locally and beyond making the afternoon a perfect antidote to the all-familiar grey winter days.

Join us for our next Barstool Session for an evening celebrating the best that Oregon has to offer from some phenomenal winemakers, alongside an all American selection of small plates. Aptly being held on Thursday 23rd November, Thanksgiving.

Sunday Sessions: Bank Holiday BBQ

As some of you may know, we do love a bit of BBQ here at Fourth and Church. So with the long weekend just around the corner, what better way to celebrate than by firing up our Bincho BBQ grill, opening up the doors and windows and incorporating this great bank holiday tradition into our Summer Sunday Session…

You can expect a leisurely afternoon of beautifully seasonal, BBQ garden party inspired drinks all beautifully paired with some amazing dishes created by Sam, Ben and our kitchen team, we will be highlighting not only wines perfect for your long weekend but also incorporating a couple of surprise drink and food pairings befitting of the warmer weather and longer days.

Anton and Anna will be hosting you for our “Bank Holiday BBQ” celebrating the best of regional and summer holiday inspired food and drinks.

Barstool Sessions: August in Iberia

Our August Barstool Session will take place on Thursday 10th August, hosted by Laura, showcasing a carefully curated wine and food pairing consisting of five small plates providing that distinctive and wonderful Fourth and Church touch to some of the food she grew up eating.

Born and raised in Alicante, Laura will take you to the Levante, for a little culinary getaway.

Expect the soul of some classic dishes that will transport you to a sunny August evening in the Mediterranean, with our own surprise twist.

Paired with East coast regional wines, you might even discover a new grape or two that will may become a firm favourite?

Timings run from 7pm until 9pm, with plenty of time to re-try a new found favourite wine or add a few dishes to finish off your evening with us.

Sunday Session - German Riesling

Join us on Sunday July 23rd with our friend and German Riesling specialist Andrea Balcock for a spectacular six course lunch with some very special paired wines.

Digging out some gems from the cellar, and some library wines from our suppliers this lunch will truly showcase the diversity and ageworthyness of German Riesling. The kitchen team will create a menu that will highlight seasonal dishes that work wonderfully with the wines and we will be on hand to talk through our selection.

To celebrate English wine week 2023 Paul will be joined the wonderful Tom Surgey.

They will talk us through a selection of still and sparkling wines from the brilliant Sussex Estate Artelium, based just outside Ditchling.

This exciting Bar Stool session seated around our bar, will be an informal tasting alongside small plates from the Fourth and Church kitchen.

The tasting will run from 7pm-9pm, with plenty of time to double back on wines or add a few dishes to finish off your evening with us.

#SundaySession Handpicked Italy- SOLD OUT

Join us on 14th May 2023 to indulge in a very cool selection of some of Italy’s finest, one of the world's most fascinating wine producing countries. 

We will co-host with our long time friend and supplier, Matteo Malquori, whose passion for the hidden gems of Italy is unrivalled! Together we have selected wines that highlight some of the country’s most respected and innovative wine makers and we are super excited to share our enthusiasm (and wine) with you.

Exploring through Lombardy, Piedmonte, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Sicily we will taste both classic and more unusual styles, all paired with fantastic flavours using the best ingredients from the month of May.

Lunch and wines are priced at £95 per person.

Barstool Sessions: World Whisky Tasting- SOLD OUT

We are excited to be holding our first whisky tasting on Thursday evening 6th April 2023. The team are very passionate about whisky, the water of life, it’s complexity, diversity and versatility. 

Anton will be joined by Alberto Ladu, World Whiskey Ambassador, to host an intimate tasting event around our bar.  

We will open the tasting with a signature cocktail, before taking you on a journey exploring five different whisky expressions from Japan, USA, Ireland and Scotland

Each dram will be expertly paired with dishes lovingly created by Ben and his team of chefs designed to enrich and highlight key tasting notes for each, a truly unique tasting experience.

Tasting with food pairing is priced at £55 per person.

Sunday Session: France, the road less travelled- SOLD OUT

Join us on 2nd April 2023 for an exploration of the lesser known wines of France, including more obscure grapes from the South West, Savoie and Jura regions. 

Anna will be hosting upon her return from an extended trip to France where she has been drinking lots of great wines that she cannot wait to share. The Fourth and Church team will be joined by good friend and one of our favourite wine suppliers, Bryanna Schneider. Bryanna has a wealth of experience and is equally passionate about niche wines and wines with small productions that are off the beaten track. We are super excited to have her join us for this special Sunday Session! 

The wines selected prove that even one of the most well known wine producing countries in the world can still throw up a few surprises. The menu has been inspired by these food friendly wines and Sam’s French travels, with six lovingly crafted dishes served alongside each glass.
