We will be kicking off October in the best possible way by taking you on a taste journey to Lebanon. Introducing you to proud Lebanese producer Eddie Mersel, one of Laura’s (and the teams’) favourites!
With an ancient history in wine making dating all the way back to the Phoenicians who used to take their terracotta jars of wine across the water into Greece (and later Rome) for trading, this vineyard and its winemaker, wine-obsessed Eddie, vows to keep traditions alive. With some of the highest and oldest sites in wine production in the World, he works as naturally as possible using organic farming methods and very little intervention allowing the terroir to shine through.
Showcasing some phenomenal low intervention wines, Laura will guide you through an eclectic, fun and utterly delicious journey into this not so well-known region.
The Fourth and Church kitchen team will meticulously pair a dish with each of the four wines, you will feel like you are travelling to Lebanon whilst still seated around our bar!
