Upcoming events
Sunday Sessions: Wines and Flavours of Tuscany Sunday, 2nd March, 1:00 PM 4:00 PM
Our first Sunday session of the year will be the usual relaxed affair.
Our friend Matteo Malquori will co-host lunch with me, opening some bottles from his home province, Tuscany and its neighbouring regions.
If you have previously met Matteo, I'm sure will agree that he brings an electric atmosphere to any room, when he shares his unbridled passion for the wines and producers he represents.
We all love the Italian classics but get super excited about finding bottles that offer something a little bit different and that represent great value. The majority of these finds are completely unique and unknown outside of their native regions.
For lunch we will slightly tweak the menu from the usual Sunday Session format, by including some sharing courses, typical of a relaxed get-together in the Tuscan hilltops, and a nod to the regional cooking of one of the most food-obsessed countries in the world. Expect a relaxed, chatty afternoon, with great company and lots to eat and drink. Is there any better way to spend a Sunday? I don’t think so!
