Wines of Germany's annual Riesling Festival ‘31 Days of July’ is once again upon us.

Their mission (and ours) is to create a greater awareness of German Riesling wines in the UK throughout the month. Needless to say, July is one of our favourite months!

Last year Fourth and Church were thrilled to win the national award for the second year running, for our focus and events showcasing Riesling within the On-Trade.

Over 130 businesses took part, so as you can imagine we were extremely proud of ourselves and very grateful to all of our customers who got involved over the month.

Lat year we offered over 60 different bottles of Riesling over a daily changing list by the glass, Barstool Session, an event with Connect Brighton and an amazing multi-course, tasting Sunday Session with a unique Fourth and Church twist.

This year we want to improve on last year's offering and are busy preparing for the next 31 Days, we have raided our cellar, hassled some of the producers we know for library stock and purchased some delicious bottles from some of our favourite suppliers.

The team have been briefed, our shelves are stocked to bursting, and the three tasting events are all coming together nicely.

We are super passionate and knowledgeable so why not come and join us in July to try a glass or two, and find out more about this classic grape variety? Brighton and Hove, you are in for a treat!

And remember, Riesling isn’t just for July.
